CEO and Founder of Destined Doctors
Jiamin Chen
Jiamin Chen is a dedicated student at the University of Pennsylvania who has a strong passion for medicine and improving women's health globally. Recognizing the importance of fostering interest in the medical field among students, Jiamin founded an initiative called Destined Doctors. Her ultimate goal is to inspire and encourage young individuals to pursue careers in medicine and make a positive impact in the world.
Jiamin's motivation stems from witnessing the pain and struggles faced by women in relation to their reproductive health. She firmly believes that no woman should have to endure such burdens and is determined to contribute to the improvement of women's health on a global scale. Through Destined Doctors, Jiamin aims to provide a platform where students can explore various medical specialties, conduct research, and learn about the different aspects of the medical field.

Max Brody
Max Brody is a student at the University of Pennsylvania. He joined the Destined Doctors initiative because he has seen the enduring effects of giving underrepresented students the opportunity to explore the medical field, and he wants to be involved in this overarching effort for greater diversity in medicine. In the future, Max hopes to become a hematologist to address the systemic issues of diabetic care for Native Americans. As a local Oklahoman, he has firsthand experience of how poorly local clinics, governments, and institutions treat native tribes; as a result, he aspires to counteract this systemic discrimination by being a frontline worker and policy consultant to create more equitable healthcare law. Max is especially interested in how high schoolers can get involved in biomedical and law research to help create the change they want to see in the world.

Ting is an undergraduate at UC Berkeley from Fresno, CA. She is passionate about bringing accessibility to underrepresented populations in medicine. She hopes to uplift narratives centered around health equity. In her free time, she loves to hang out with friends, go to movie theater, and bake to de-stress!
